Are scorpions pets ok in a jewish home?

I’ve been wanting to have a Scorpion as a pet for a while. However I wanted to know if it is permitted under jewish law to have such a pet?

   I know Jews have alot of strange laws as to whether a thing is clean or unclean, but I think it is OK as long as you don’t eat it.
