Can we bring pets to our Twiddy rented Outer Banks, NC home?

The policy from Twiddy says that we can’t for this specific home. But I’m wondering if anyone HAS brought pets to a no-pets-allowed house, and if you did, were you successful in bypassing this rule? I’m thinking Twiddy won’t know the pets are there because they never visit the house, especially since we’re 8 miles out on sand in Carova.

So, were you successful in bypassing this rule?
