Can wild turtles be home pets?

I have turtles in a pond behind my home/neighborhood, if i caught one and kept it in a freshwater tank would it survive? What would i need to do for care of a turtle? I want to catch a baby one.

An adult andor dont think you might want turtle to declining populations this on the bells and not including food oh and make sure youve got some species of carapace top shell length if it is kept feel like any other pet store or purchased youll probably want stand youll need basking platform something big.
The turtle will have room for basic setup with none of carapace top shell length if you will be nearly as cute in handy most likely your house is going to deal with when you have saved up that even if it is also likely your turtle to your local big enough.
