Can you extend the gerbilariums from pets at home in the uk ? if so how ?

I have a gerbilarium from pets at home it’s the smaller one they sell. I wondered if you could add things onto it to make it bigger if you wanted it to fit more than 2 gerbils in the future any ideas would be awsome :) thanks

    maybe if you put a tunnel in the side of one of them and connected it to another cage
