do pets at home sell dwarf hamsters singularly?

home pets
stressed erica asked:

i have decided i want to get a russian dwarf hamster, and are going to buy it from pets at home, is it true that they will only sell them to you in pairs?
i thought it would be totally up to the individual how many you bought, but a friend of a friend got hers from pets at home and they insisted that she took 2 in case they got “lonley” i wasnt sure if it was genuine or just pushy sales tactics!

I think they are sold separately. One thing that you would consider also is the kind of cage that would be very comfortable for your pets.
