We have lived here a week and there are fleas, im 9 mths pregnant about to have a baby and dont want fleas to be a problem. We have no pets, i know to vacume costantly and keep house cool and we have a pest control coming tuesday will that work? I have heard once a place gets fleas they wont go away!

Usually we use advantage or revolution on our dog and our 2 cats, but it has been a few months since we have been able to get some more and I just saw a flea on my kitty! I placed an order for some flea stuff, but i **** the thought that they have fleas bugging them in the meantime. Does anyone have any suggestions for killing all the fleas safely without harming the pets? I would rather use something safe but if i cannot find anything, I will use revolution or advantage…or something like that. Thanks!

There seem to be a lot of stories in the media lately about people doing horrible things to other poeple’s pets when the owners aren’t home, or when the pets are loose in the neighbourhood.
I never let my cat loose outside - he has an enclosure, and is only out when I’m home to supervise. When I go out, I bring him in.
But I still worry that someone might break in and do something to him. Do you worry about your pets this way too?
